Eusebius of Caesarea was a bishop, historian, and biblical scholar of the early fourth century. He is best known for Ecclesiastical History and is often called the father of church history because he preserved extensive material from earlier Christian sources.

Christ will therefore subject to himself everything [the universe], and this saving subjection it is right to regard as similar to that, according to which the Son himself shall be subjected unto him, who subjected to himself all things. . . . But after the close of everything, he will not dwell in a few, but in all those who are then worthy of the kingdom of heaven. So then shall come to pass [God’s being] all in all, when he inhabits as his people all [absolutely].
